Our little boy is 1000 days old today. Isn’t it amazing how fast they grow? In the beginning, you deal with diaper changes, feedings and cryings.. and suddenly before you know it, your little baby grows up into a little human being with thoughts and feelings. We are expecting our second one now and the morning sickness has been pretty hard to deal with. I was lying in bed one day and L came up to my bedside, with a train in one hand and hammer in the other and said, “Mama, are you alright?” :) Happy 1000 days my dear boy…

Tried this scrambled eggs recipe from Gordon Ramsay over the weekend and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. As new fans of Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares, we were unaccustomed to a subdued, well mannered Ramsay. Nevertheless, the scrambled eggs are easy to make.

The secret is to keep stirring on and off the fire, and a dollop of creme fraiche at the end. Scrambled eggs turned out creamy, rich yet light and fluffy. Just the perfect scrambled egg. Breakfast was so good that we ended up skipping lunch. This is definitely one for keeps.

Check it out.

Gordon Ramsay’s Scrambled Eggs Breakfast

With an almost three year old in the house, we are constantly bargaining and negotiating with the little one. With a couple of minutes before we are out the door, the little one bargains, “Mama, five more minutes? Can I finish Thomas before we go? Can I pause it so I can play crayons? Oh Mama, I paused it, I want to play crayons!!!” When I try to sit down and explain why we need to go, his little face scrunches up and delivers the magic line, “Five more minutes Mama?”

How do you say no to a face like that?
